Project Overview

Project Overview

It was a Wednesday morning, I had just finished watching the recent episode of House Of

The Dragon. I was so hyped up from it, and I decided to Vibe-Design.

For this project, I focused on the character and weapon selection design experience. My design had two iterations - well, after the first look, I tested it out with some friends and realized that it really sucked, so I had to redesign the whole thing.

Problems with the first design (Observed through user feedback)

Problems with the first design (Observed through user feedback)

The first version was almost impossible to navigate. There was no clear game flow, and the design didn't seem to lead the users. It was not hard to figure out that this was because the design felt unfamiliar (comparing to games they usually play)

The time it organized my control group to complete the same tasks (selecting a campaign & and a character) drastically reduced with the new design. I'll stop yapping and let you take a look.

Conclusion

Conclusion

I really loved working on this, and I learnt a lot in the process. The final design had it's own issues (because design never ends), and I really can't wait to update this with the new things I have added. Game UX is something I am quite new to, although I have been reading and writing about it for a while now. This is one of my first deep dives into the game verse lol. I look forward to doing more.
